Synopsis for "The Doctor Is In!"
Jay and Judy dive behind Garrison Slate's desk for cover as the android receptionist fires at them. Slate is hit, but before he dies he warns Judy that Doctor Elemental wants her as the catalyst for his final experiment, a worldwide transformation. Jay breaks cover and tackles the receptionist, then vibrates at high speed to break her apart. Professor Hughes speaks through the damaged android and tells Judy that her sacrifice will save all of humanity. The receptionist self-destructs, but Jay and Judy are able to escape the explosion and evacuate the building.
Judy asks if they should try to hide, but Jay tells her that they are going to take the fight to Doctor Elemental. He takes her to Brazil where they meet up with Pieter Cross, one of the adventurers to use the Doctor Mid-Nite identity. Cross takes them to his secret underground lab and tells them that there's no evidence Professor Hughes is still alive or has the resources to come after them. However as soon as he says this an alarm goes off meaning that, as Jay predicted, Hughes has tracked them to Brazil and has sent a force of robots lead by Ro-Bear to capture them. Jay and Pieter suit up to fight them off but Jay tells Judy to stay safe in the lab.
The Flash and Doctor Mid-Nite battle the attackers on the surface, but Doctor Elemental appears in the lab with Judy. She squares off to fight him, but is hit with a tranquiliser dart and passes out. Doctor Elemental takes Judy, using his powers to tunnel through the Earth. Up on the surface, Jay fights Ro-Bear and says that when they're beaten him they will get him to tell them where Doctor Elemental is. Ro-Bear says he is already here and Jay runs back to check on Judy, realising she is gone. Cross destroys the rest of the robots and Jay runs back up and demands to know where Doctor Elemental has taken Judy. Ro-Bear tries to teleport away, but discovers that Doctor Mid-Nite disabled his transporter. Jay says that Ro-Bear will tell him where Hughes and Judy are, or else.
