- My name is Jay Garrick, and I'm--- The Flash...
Jay Garrick: The Flash #6 is an issue of the series Jay Garrick: The Flash (Volume 1) with a cover date of June, 2024. It was published on April 16, 2024.
Synopsis for "Life's Terms"
Jay Garrick frantically runs around the world looking for Judy, while Mister Terrific tries to track her energy signature. Joan calls Jay and he admits what has happened, she tearfully tells him to save their daughter.
At Doctor Elemental's secret base, he tells Judy that she will bring humanity into the new age. The base, a submerged island in the Atlantic Ocean, rises up to the surface; meanwhile beams of energy erupt from S.T.A.R. Labs buildings around the world. Mister Terrific detects what is happening and directs Jay to the island.
The energy beams converge on the island and blast into Judy, making her scream in pain. Jay runs towards the island and blasts through all the defences. Doctor Elemental tries to fight him, but Jay easily shrugs off his attacks, runs directly at him and punches him out. He says it's over, but Doctor Elemental is able to activate the machine he has Judy strapped to. He tells Jay that the energy from Judy will blast back to the S.T.A.R. Labs facilities and transform all the water on Earth into the hard water formula that gave the Garricks their powers; killing 90% of people on Earth and granting superspeed to the survivors. Jay runs to each of the S.T.A.R. Labs facilities in turn and destroys the machines on the roof, outrunning the energy blast and pushing himself to his absolute limit. He returns to the island and collapses next to Judy.
Mister Terrific comes to the island and collects them both, Judy quickly recovers but Jay is in a coma. Also, Doctor Elemental manages to escape through the caverns under the base and runs into a shadowy figure who says they have a proposition for him. At the hospital, Judy breaks down crying next to Jay's bed and asks him to come back, saying that they have more adventures to go on. She touches Jay's hand and a spark of lighting jumps from her to him. Jay wakes up and makes a full recovery. When he leaves the hospital, Jay and Joan introduce Judy to the rest of the Flash Family.
