Azrael is a decorated member of the Order of St. Dumas. He once served as Batman when the original was indisposed.
History
When Batman was hospitalized by Bane,[1] Jean-Paul was given the mantle of Batman in his absence. During this time, he was briefly taken to the future alongside other analog Batmen. A Bruce Wayne from a further future brought them together to defeat Clock King, who had frozen time.
Years later, the same year he had traveled to, Azrael would run into Batman and Robin on their way to the base of the League of Assassins. Accompanying them, the League would be attacked by Zombies that night. Realizing that they were all deceased Order of St. Dumas members, Azrael was able to lead them away.[2]
