Jed Walker is Rose Walker's younger brother.

Jed Walker and his sister Rose were raised in a very dysfunctional household. Eventually, their parents divorced; however, while their loving mother got custody of Rose, their abusive father got custody of Jed. After their father's death, Jed was lost in the foster system.[1]

He was adopted by Clarice and Barnaby, and was kept locked in a cellar day and night (Barnaby wanted only the adoption money).[2]

Jed Walker Sandman TV Series 001

Jed as "Sandman"

Gault, an escaped nightmare from The Dreaming felt sympathy for Jed, but due to being unable to do anything about his situation in the waking world, gave him a comforting fantasy in his dreams that he was the superhero The Sandman.[2]

When Ms. Rubio came to check on the foster family, Barnaby brought Jed out of the basement and, to make him look good, threatened him into pretending everything was fine. Jed tried to slip a note pleading for help into Rubio's purse, but Barnaby caught the trick and punished Jed. In his dreams, his sister, now coming into her dream vortex abilities, and Dream entered. Dream had come for Gault, who willingly went with him to make sure Jed was safe. Dream ended Jed's dream, but not before allowing the latter to give his sister the right information about his whereabouts. However, afterwards, the Corinthian arrived, murdered Barnaby and Clarice, and took Jed away.[2]

The Corinthian took Jed to the hotel where the Cereal Convention would be held, and told him to stay in the hotel room, not wanting Jed to get hurt by the serial killers attending so he could lure Rose to him. However, Jed wandered out and found out about what the convention was really about. While fleeing, he runs into his sister, who had arrived at the hotel just earlier. They are cornered by Fun Land, a serial killer who preys on children, who is promptly killed by the Corinthian.[3]

Rose and Jed are forced to stay in the Corinthian's hotel room, where they fall asleep. After Rose refuses to side with either the Corinthian or Dream, she wakes up and flees with Jed. Afterwards, the siblings live their lives in New Jersey thanks to the inheritance from their great-grandmother Unity.[4]
