Jade is the daughter of the Golden Age Green Lantern and the sister of Obsidian a member of the Justice Society of America.

Origins

Jade and her brother were both children of the original Green Lantern of Earth but were separated at birth and she was adopted. During her career as a superhero she became a founding member of Infinity, Inc., dated a Green Lantern, fought Parallax, died and came back to life.[3]

Doomsday Clock

Jade was supposed to exist on Prime Earth but her existence was erased after Doctor Manhattan prevented Alan Scott from becoming the Green Lantern and, as a consequence, his death prevented the creation of the Justice Society of America.[4]

Later, Doctor Manhattan undid his actions and allowed Alan Scott to become once again the Green Lantern and form the Justice Society. Jade was brought back to life and was part of the Justice Society, along with her brother, helped Superman defeat the metahumans who were ravaging Washington, D.C..[5]

Infinite Frontier

After her return Jade struggled to return to her life but found it difficult as the Starheart had been altered by the events, causing her to doubt herself, and she was struggling to remember parts of her life. Her father called her and her brother to the JSA Headquarters and opened himself up to them, revealing that he was gay and had decided to come out because he was inspired by his son's openess, they both accepted and embraced him.[2] After receiving an alert she and her brother traveled to a mountain region and saved a mesmerized hiker before he could jump off a cliff and identified the source of the mesmerizing music, Chroma, who had returned to Earth to sing it to oblivion. As she was getting ready to attack them her brother unleashed his powers on Chroma and trapped them in the Shadowlands where they decided to sing about it for a period between twenty minutes and fifteen million years. After the encounter Jade confided her doubts to her brother who reassured her, causing her to regain her confidence in herself and her powers.[3]
