Dr. Jeremiah Clugg was a college science teacher who worked with Dan Garrett.
History
Suffering from a massive inferiority complex and constant abuse at work, he imbued his personality and memories into a robot of his own creation, Mentor the Magnificent. Finally feeling a sense of power, Clugg went on a crime spree until he was stopped by Garrett in his guise as Blue Beetle. Mentor was left lying inactive at the bottom of a lake.[1]

- This version of Jeremiah Clugg, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023.
