- Because Kara needed to go, Director Chase. We needed to support her. You tasked us with being her parents. I thought we were doing our job.
- — Jeremiah Danvers src
Jeremiah Danvers was a field agent of the D.E.O. and husband to Eliza Danvers.
History
When Kara Zor-El agreed to work for the D.E.O., Director Chase assigned the Danvers as her "handlers".[1]
Jeremiah and Eliza helped out with Kara's treatment to get her powers back. When she wanted to go out to save her cousin from a false Superman, they let her go.[2] Later they adopted the young Kyrptonian and tried to help her adapt to Earth as they learnt her idiom to make her feel more comfortable, although Kara found her accent awful.[3]
Notes
- Jeremiah Danvers was created by Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler, and Andrew Kreisberg, first appearing in Supergirl (TV Series) Episode: Pilot. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Jeremiah Danvers first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Superman/Wonder Woman #29 by Peter Tomasi and Jorge Jiménez.
