Jessica Cruz is a member of the Green Lantern Corps along with Hal. She is the only one who doesn't fight due to her pacifistic lifestyle.

History

A student at Metropolis High School, Jessica was chosen by the Green Lantern Corps to bear a Green Lantern Ring. She attempted to refuse as she deemed the Corps to extreme, although her fellow classmate and Corps member Hal Jordan didn't allow her to. Jessica was later framed for starting a food fight by her new classmate Barbara Gordon, who suspected Jessica and three other girls of being superheroes. The girls were subsequently put in detention together where they were joined by a vagrant girl called Diana and Barbara exposed all six of them as superheroes. They subsequently formed a team on Barbara's instance. While the team almost immediately fell apart after their first mission, they managed to pull together to defeat a robot army by Lena Luthor, cementing Jessica's partnership with the rest of her team.
