Jim Starlin (b. October 9, 1949) is a writer.

Professional History

Jim Starlin is an American comic book creator. He began his career in 1970 working for Texas Trio on the title Doctor Weird. Two years later he was hired by Marvel Comics to work on titles as Journey into Mystery and The Amazing Spider-Man. That same year, he was hired by DC Comics and published his first work on the tile Weird Worlds.

Starlin is best known for his work on the storyline Batman: A Death in the Family.

Most recently, he has been working exclusively for Marvel Comics.

Personal History

Jim Starlin served as an aviation photographer in the US Navy in Vietnam.

Jim used the pen name "Steve Apollo" in some early work such as Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes.
