History

Jiv Reduu came from the planet Bummb'l, where all natives are born with the ability to swell their bodies into balloon like forms. When the L.E.G.I.O.N. was formed, the planet held a competition to select a planetary representative to join. Jiv Reduu won this championship and enrolled in the L.E.G.I.O.N. academy. But when it came time to admit new recruits

He was recuited into the R.E.C.R.U.I.T.S. along with Amon Hakk, Borb Borbb, Darius, Davroth Catto, Ig'nea, Bertron Diib, Lydea Mallor and Zena Moonstruk. Jiv Reduu was however rejected by Strata.

Jiv Reduu then began murdering Strata's other graduates in revenge. He was rejected due to his unusual powers which he then used to kill other students. It took some time for these murders to come to the core teams attention, mostly due to Chief Horgath's preference to solve the case himself. Unfortunately for Jiv Reduu, the former core member Garv had recently resigned from the L.E.G.I.O.N. and was investigating the case himself, under the guise of the Masked Avenger.

Eventually Strata deduced the killer's identity and with Garv they corner Jiv Reduu. In one final effort to kill Strata, Jiv Reduu found himself bouncing out of control, and landed on the end of a spear, killing him.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

• Inflatable Body: Jiv Reduu is a Bummb'l who's species has power to inflate their entire body into a solid spherical shape like a ball. While in this form, he can direct and deflect his body off of solid surfaces with little to no damage to his physical person.

Notes

• As with many members of this incarnation of L.E.G.I.O.N. they are modeled after characters from the Legion of Super-Heroes. Jiv Reduu has the powers of and is a reference to Bouncing Boy.
