Joe Chill was a criminal responsible for the deaths of Thomas and Martha Wayne.
History
Twenty-five years after the death of the Waynes, Joe Chill fell victim to Sinestro, who killed him but absorbed his mind. That way, Joe inhabited Sinestro's body as a second personality. By joining their knowledge, Joe learned that Bruce Wayne, the kid he left an orphan, became Green Lantern.
Sinestro/Joe Chill then recruited Harvey Dent and Selina Kyle to their crusade, giving them power rings and the names of Binary Star and Star Sapphire, respectively. The villains plotted against Green Lantern, and caused Bruce to lose the favor of the Guardians. Knowing the location of his base, Sinestro/Joe Chill led their team to the Batcave, where they caused the death of Alfred Pennyworth. They were confronted by three empowered heroes from Earth, enlisted to the Green Lantern Corps for the emergency at hand. Still, the villains escaped, and Bruce Wayne left Earth to chase the killers.
