- Butcher was created by Mike Baron and Shea Anton Pensa, first appearing in Butcher #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Butcher first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Green Arrow (Volume 5) #20 by Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino.
