John Diggle is a member of Team Arrow and a best friend to Oliver Queen in the Arrow television series. His undercover alias is "Spartan." He originally served in the military until he retired and became a body guard. Moira Queen hired him to protect her son Oliver, and he became part of Oliver's war on crime. His brother Andy Diggle was seemingly killed by Deadshot, but faked his death to join H.I.V.E.. His wife is A.R.G.U.S. agent Lyla Michaels. Their daughter Sara Diggle was replaced by John Diggle, Jr. in the timeline after the Flash went back in time and changed history. He has also been a member of the Suicide Squad. John Diggle was created by Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, first appearing in the Arrow episode Pilot. (2012)
