John is a doppelganger of John Diggle from Earth-90.
History
John was a friend of Barry Allen aka The Flash who fought crime thanks to his special ring[1]. He was presumably killed during the Monitor's test along with other Earth-90 heroes and villains.[2]
After the Flash came to Earth-1 to warn its heroes about the Monitor's menace, he recognized Diggle as John's doppelganger, also noticing the absence of his ring.[1]

- While not directly shown, John's surname is presumably Diggle like his Earth-1 doppelganger.
- John's reference as Diggle's doppelganger was a tribute to a fan theory about him being an adaptation to John Stewart.
- Eventually, on Earth-Prime, John Diggle found his own ring, bringing him closer to John's legacy.
- It is unknown if John (and Earth-90) was restored along with the other residents and realities of the Multiverse after it was rebooted.
