John F. Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States in January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. During his presidency he was involved in the Bay of Pigs Invasion, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the American Civil Rights movement, increasing U.S. military involvement in the Vietnam War, and initiating the Apollo Program.
