History

Steel battles Metallo

Astronaut Jack Corben returned home, but fell ill immediately. His ship was taken to S.T.A.R. Labs and John discovered that it had been infused with alien technology, informing Superman. When he learned that Corben was attacking the Superman Family with Green Kryptonite, he armed himself with his Kinetic Hammer and the Luthor Battle Suit and went to go help. John fought Jack, now calling himself Metallo, while the Supers made a tactical retreat to retrieve lead equipment to trap Captain Corben. Afterwards, the Super Family recruited John Henry under the alias, "Steel." John would later create his own Steel's Armor and join the Justice League.
