Quote1 Precisely! See this map of the United States? I intend shortly to start a series of shocks that will turn the Rocky Mountains into seething volcanoes! Quote2
John Molten, Plunder src

Plunder, secretly scientist John Molten, was an enemy of the Blackhawk Squadron.

In 1948, a scientist-enslaving would-be world-conqueror, John Molten, calling himself "Plunder," had a plan to harness geothermal energy on a gigantic scale, and to create new volcanoes in regions where there were none. From his secret lair, hundreds of feet beneath Mauna Koa, he caused all the islands in the Volcanic Islands Group, except Mauna Koa, to erupt on the same day. This sent tremors across the ocean bottom, disrupting the tides, and wiping out many of the Island Group's inhabitants.

This drew the attention of the Blackhawk Squadron, who penetrated Plunder's pressurized underground equipment room, and took it over. Plunder himself eluded them, and hid somewhere in his base. Returning to the surface, the Blackhawks took off, and bombed Mauna Loa's peak, leaving Plunder to presumably perish.
