Notes
- This issue is set in the Dark Sectors, and takes place two years after both the events of Green Lantern (Volume 6) #12, and the following Emerald Knight's appearance in the Dark Crisis.
- The ascended John Stewart is separated by The Source in two different beings: a seemingly-human Green Lantern/John Stewart and a Source-powered Emerald Knight/John Stewart that keeps fighting in the Dark Sectors. However, The Source still counts them as a single Higher Being.
- Although it remains unclear the temporal setting of his return, John Stewart was sent back by The Source to Earth 0, where he seemingly retired.[1] His story is continued in the Rise of the Revenant Queen storyline from Green Lantern (Volume 7) #1–3 and, then, in Green Lantern: War Journal (Volume 1).
- The events of Green Lantern (Volume 7) #25 first show that the "human" John still kept part of his Source Energy.
- Emerald Knight/John Stewart eventually resurfaces in Green Lantern Corps (Volume 4) #9. The events of Green Lantern Corps (Volume 4) #10 eventually reveals that he is actually John's original self.
- The Dark Sectors are confirmed to be single pocket dimensions at the edges of Earth 0 born from pieces of Hypertime.
- According to this issue, people from the Dark Sectors are actually alternate versions of their main iterations. This is also remarked in Green Lantern Corps (Volume 4) #10.
