Quote1 So whoever messes with us, listen up. The name is John Stewart, and all who worship evil's might- beware our power, Green Lantern's light! Quote2
John Stewart src

John Stewart was a member of the Green Lantern Corps.

John Stewart was an architect and former U.S. Marine who became a member of the Green Lantern Corps after Guy Gardner was wounded, filling in as Hal Jordan's back-up. When Brainiac began his war against Earth, and the future Lex Luthor released the Exobytes on the world, John Stewart and his fellow Green Lanterns found their power rings began to fluctuate in power, as did the other Lantern Corps- sometimes the rings would simply stop working, other times it took much longer to recharge than normal. Despite this, the Green Lantern Corps and the Sinestro Corps continued their war with the aid of the new Exobyte heroes and villains. John Stewart personally lead a battle in Metropolis, where he engaged Sinestro in combat. Exobyte Heroes aided Stewart in the battle, while Exobyte villains took up arms against him in defense of Sinestro. In the end, both Lanterns escaped capture or death to fight another day.
