John Turturro (b. February 28, 1957) is an American actor who portrayed Carmine Falcone in The Batman.

John Turturro is an American character actor, noted for his varied performances in numerous independent films. He frequently collaborates with Spike Lee, appearing in films of his like Do the Right Thing, Mo' Better Blues, and Jungle Fever, and the Coen brothers, appearing in many of their films such as Barton Fink, The Big Lebowski, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?

In 2022, Turturro played gangster Carmine Falcone in the DC Studios film The Batman, which proved to be massively successful both financially and critically. He was offered the chance to reprise the role on the spin-off miniseries The Penguin, but turned it down because of the character's more explicit and disturbing violent acts against women than in the film,[1] and so was replaced by Mark Strong.
