In the 1930s, Johnnie Law was a beat patrolman in New York City.
History
In 1937, as a brand new rookie cop, Johnnie Law rescued and adopted a homeless orphan, and busted the firebug that had made him homeless. Shortly afterward, he was assigned to do plainclothes police work. In 1938, he participated in the take-downs of a well-armed dope gang and a protection racket. In 1939 Officer Johnnie Law was apparently killed by a suicide bomber.

- This version of Johnnie Law, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
- Johnnie Law's feature ended in a cliff-hanger, with Johnnie getting blown up.
