Johnny Reb was a small-time leader of a criminal gang that tried to set up shop in Leesburg.

History

He was in possesion of some hi-tech goods, including a cybernetic implant replacing his right eye. When two different Supergirls (Linda Danvers and Kara Zor-El) interfered with his operations he decided to hightail it.

However a being known as Fatalist appeared and transformed him, making him stronger and more powerful. Thrilled and overconfident with his newfound power, he named himself Rebel and attacked both Supergirls only to be defeated again. He challenged the original Supergirl a third time, but Kara Zor-El angrily told him he was nothing but a nuisance and frightened him away. As he fled, Supergirl warned him against harming people ever again.
