The man known only as The Joker is an elusive, billionaire serial killer.

History

Darkseid created the Absolute Universe to be a world where heroes were the underdogs, and lacked the advantages of their Earth 0 counterparts. As such, The Joker was given the wealth and lifetime of training which Batman possessed in the prime universe.

The Joker is one of the thirty richest men in the world, but is nevertheless a complete mystery. His real name is unknown and he goes by a variety of aliases. His nickname is derived from the fact that he has never been heard to laugh at anything. He has trained with such dangerous figures as Henri Ducard and the League of Assassins, killing each when he had learned all he could from them.

The Joker's wealth gives him control over many terrorists, criminals and supervillains. He dispatched Black Mask and the Party Animals to attack Gotham City, but they were eventually defeated by Batman. He ordered Bane sent in to deal with the Bat.

Abilities

• Martial Arts: Joker has trained with such dangerous figures as Henri Ducard and the League of Assassins, killing each when he had learned all he could from them.

Weaknesses

• Illness: The Joker has some kind of illness that bleaches his skin and makes his veins appear green. He requires regular blood transfusions from infants to appear normal.

Notes

• The Joker was created by Jerry Robinson, Bill Finger, and Bob Kane, first appearing in Batman #1. However, the Absolute Universe version of The Joker first appeared in Absolute Batman #1 by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta.

• Joker's "Arthur" and "Jack" aliases are respectively nods to Joker's movie counterpart, Arthur Fleck; and Jack Napier, one of the Joker's most famous identities across various media as well as Jack Oswald White which is the name of Joker's Flashpoint counterpart.
