The Joker was an enemy of Batman that was killed by Superman when the former hero went on a seemingly inexplicable killing spree.

History

When Superman went on an evil murderous killing spree for an unknown reason whether it be mind control or kryptonite. Joker was one of the many heroes and villains murdered in his killing spree. Later on after the Bruce Wayne of that universe became Devastator to kill Superman, the Bruce Wayne of an alternate universe known as The Batman Who Laughs appeared and was briefly confused for Earth -1's Joker.
