Quote1 So this is how it ends... With the crazy cut out... And left to putrefy on a cold, stainless steel surgical tray. Ha. Just like they used to do in the good old days. Quote2
The Joker src

The Joker is a homicidal maniac and the archenemy of Batman. It can be assumed his history followed roughly the same path as it did on Prime Earth, up until just before the five year jump that sets the stage for the events of Futures End.

At some point after the world became overrun by Brother Eye, the Joker succumbed to the monstrous computer system, much like the majority of the world's heroes and villains. Unlike the others, Brother Eye chose not to assimilate Joker and turn him into a cyborg creature, instead deciding to imprison him for a then-unknown special purpose. While imprisoned, the Joker wasted away as he was fed nutritional liquid through a tube until his spirit broke, leaving him begging for death.

However, years in the future after the remaining heroes make a seemingly unsuccessful assault on Brother Eye, the computer system decides to enact its plan for the Joker. Frankenstein arrives to fetch him, revealing to the Joker his One-Time Nemesis has, like him, been captured rather than killed. This is enough to snap the Joker out of his battered state with his characteristic laugh.[1]

  • The Joker appears to have had his face restored, or else had a close reconstruction of his original face done at some point after the events of Death of the Family.
