In 1947, in a tropical part of the Pacific Ocean, Jombore Island was still virtually untouched by modern technology, or modern ideas of any kind. Jomborean society was an autocratic monarchy, the Queen enjoyed lopping off the heads of her former kings, and royal troops were armed with spears and shields. Some of the famous Blackhawks once visited this island, due to engine trouble, and got embroiled in a complicated romantic and political situation, from which they were very glad to extricate themselves gracefully, and leave.
