  • Jonah Hex's origin is revealed in this issue. Contains flashbacks to the year 1851, 1853, and 1854. In 1851, Jonah was sold into slavery to a tribe of Apaches by his father. In 1853, Jonah Hex saves the life of the Apache Chief from a Puma and is adopted into the Apache tribe as the Chief's son. In 1854, Jonah's Indian "brother", Noh-Tante, deserts Jonah in the camp of a tribe of Kiowas.
