The Monocle was a member of the Secret Society of Super-Villains.
History
In the events of Forever Evil, all the villains were brought together by the Crime Syndicate to form a new Secret Society. As they shared their theories on who brought them together, the Syndicate appeared and claimed the Justice League was dead. Monocle accused them of being the Justice League in disguise as they were all wearing the same or similar costumes. Ultraman, Superman's counterpart, murdered Monocle with his heat vision and insisted that the villains either join them or become their enemies.
Notes
- Monocle was created by Gardner Fox and Joe Kubert, first appearing in Flash Comics #64. However, in the rebooted Prime Earth continuity his first appearance as part of the DC Universe is in Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's New 52 Forever Evil series.
