Johnny Williams was another Clayface. He was an unwitting partner of Hush and the Riddler.
History
Firefighter Johnny Williams was transformed into a clay-based creature by an explosion in a chemical plant. When he realized his transformation, he accidentally killed a prostitute. Horrified and stricken with guilt, he planned to commit suicide, until he encountered Hush, who told him that the chemicals had turned him into a Clayface.[1] Hush manipulated Williams, holding the promise of a cure and eventually the lives of his wife and daughter in exchange for his services[2]; he had to impersonate Tommy Elliot and Jason Todd to hurt and confuse Batman.[3][4] Williams posed as Elliot in order to fake his death and make Wayne rule out Elliot as a suspect when investigating the Hush case. He was also forced to kill a local porn director and framed Alfred for the murder.[2]
After discovering the manipulation and knowing he would die, Williams offered Batman a sample of tissue recently collected from Cassius Payne in exchange for protecting his family. Without access to another sample, nor a cure for his particular strain of Clayface genetics, his mutated cells overtook his human cells, and he died in the woods near Arkham Asylum. His fingerprints were used as proof that Alfred was innocent.[5]
