Jonny Rench (b. 1982 – d.October 16, 2010) was a comic book artist.

Professional History

In the course of his coloring career he worked on such projects as The Programme, Gen13 and Wetworks. He also worked with other comic industries which included Darkhorse, Aspen, and Devil's Due.

Personal History

Jonny Rench was born in Oahu, Hawaii and grew up in Medford, Oregon. His father, Craig Rench, was a pastor at First Church of the Nazarene. Rench attended Wilson Elementary, Hedrick Middle School and graduated from North Medford in 2000. While a teenager, he showed a significant proclivity towards art, and was encouraged to pursue a career in art by professors from whom he received supplemental training. He moved onto Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego to further his education, and targeted comics publishing. Rench soon launched his career with Wildstorm Productions as a colorist in 2006.

He was married to Sara Rench, who now lives in Anaheim, California. On October 16th, 2010, Rench was motorcycling in Medford, while living there to be closer to friends and family. He suffered a pulmonary embolism during his motorcycle ride through the neighborhood he grew up in. He died after being rushed to Providence Medford Medical Center.
