José Hernandez

José Hernandez was the Green Lantern of the ethnically diverse Earth-D. The Brazilian Air Force pilot received his Green Lantern Ring from a dying Tagin Sur. Unfortunately, he died on his fist day of the job, heroically sacrificing himself to save civilians from an antimatter wave. He was a member of the Green Lantern Corps and the Justice Alliance.

José Hernandez was created by Marv Wolfman and Paul Ryan, first appearing in Legends of the DC Universe: Crisis on Infinite Earths. (1999)
