History
When the Brazilian Air Force pilot José Hernandez found the agonizing alien Tagin Sur, he was selected as the new Green Lantern from his sector in the universe of Earth-D.
Sadly, the career of Hernandez as Earth's Green Lantern was brief. The Anti-Monitor attacked Earth-D and along with the surviving members of the Justice Alliance, José died in his first day as a Lantern to give to the heroes of Earth-One more time to rescue the civilians treathened by the antimatter wave.[1]
