Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve apostles who betrayed Jesus Christ for 30 pieces of silver in the 1st Century. In the New 52 reboot, Judas was judged by the Circle of Eternity and condemned to walk the Earth forever as an agent of God as the Phantom Stranger, wearing a necklace made of the 30 pieces of silver which he took as payment for betraying Christ.
Judas Iscariot was adapted by Ann Nocenti and Sean Phillips, first appearing in Kid Eternity (Volume 3) #1 (1993).
