Julia Kapatelis is a professor of Archeology at Harvard University, and a good friend and teacher of Wonder Woman. She is also the mother of Vanessa Kapatelis, the third Silver Swan. As an older mother and widow, she had little in common with her teenage daughter. Kapatelis, born in Greece, taught the Amazon princess English when she first came to the United States and offered her a place to stay.
