Dr. Julia Kapatelis was an old friend of Wonder Woman.

History

Dr. Kapatelis was a brilliant archaeologist who worked for Cale Pharmaceuticals researching ancient technologies and had a keen interest in the myth of the Amazons of Themyscira.

It was thanks to her fame as a researcher of ancient knowledge that Etta Candy led Princess Diana to meet her and live with her while adapting to Man's World.

Julia had a daughter, Vanessa, with whom she had a complicated relationship, which got worse with Diana's arrival, making the girl resent her mother's attention for the new guest. When Julia was killed during the confrontation between Wonder Woman and the Villainy, Inc., Vanessa was seized with hatred and desired revenge, accepting to become the Silver Swan.
