Julia Pennyworth is an elementary school teacher in Gotham City and the estranged daughter of international spy Alfred Pennyworth.
History
When she was a child, Julia used to wish her father would take her on one of his "adventures" and kept a packed suitcase under her bed in case her ever did.[1] By the present day however, she had not spoken to her Alfred in years. When Alfred first returned to Gotham he called Julia and asked to meet her, but she did not reply.[2]
During the Party Animals attacks on Gotham, Alfred kidnapped Julia and took her to the airport to evacuate her from the city by private jet against her will. Julia told him that she had a life and people she cared about in Gotham and did not want to leave. She said that if he forced her to abandon them, then as far as she was concerned he was no longer her father. Alfred sent her away regardless, but chose to stay behind to help Batman stop the terrorists rather than flee with her.[1]
