Synopsis for "The Darkseid War: Flash"

The Flash became Black Racer after the latter killed Darkseid. He claimed that he wanted to control death, rather than escape it. Then, he saw a vision of his mother before he split from the Black Racer and ran from him, not wanting to consummate their union by taking a life. When the Black Racer caught up to the Flash, the former insisted that the latter was a god now, that everyone he protected in Central City would die, and that he must take one life or there would be none to save.

The Flash returned to Iris and revealed that he had become the Black Racer, moments before the personification of death took control and attempted to attack her. The Black Racer insisted that he could tether to Daniel or Grodd, instead. When the Black Racer reminded the Flash that he only had to take one life, the latter decided to take that of the former and kill him with his scythe. The Flash believed that he had killed Death, but all he did was release it without a tether and allow it to spread uncontrollably. The Black Racer stood in front of the rest of the Justice League.
