The Grid is a storyline written by Geoff Johns, with artwork by Jesus Saiz, Ivan Reis, Gene Ha, Andres Guinaldo, and Joe Prado, published in the pages of Justice League Vol 2. It features the Justice League recruiting new members, internal tensions escalating, and a series of coordinated attacks culminating in the infiltration of their headquarters by powerful enemies.

Synopsis

The Justice League gathers secondary members, including the Atom, Black Canary, Firestorm, and others, to evaluate their potential membership. During this gathering, Platinum malfunctions and violently attacks the candidates, only to be subdued by Firestorm. Cyborg then reveals a troubling discovery: someone has hacked into the Justice League's Watchtower and downloaded all of their files, potentially compromising their identities and security protocols.

Meanwhile, Alfred Pennyworth and Jason Todd mourn the recent loss of Damian Wayne at the Batcave. Suddenly, an unknown attacker wearing a Batsuit assaults both Jason and Alfred, steals the Kryptonite ring and other contingency measures Bruce Wayne had developed against the Justice League members.

Elsewhere, Superman and Wonder Woman infiltrate Kahndaq undercover to resolve a hostage crisis involving terrorists known as the Sons of Adam. Their swift and public intervention prompts Batman to confront them, warning that their unilateral actions could make the world fear their powers. This tension is heightened when Batman reveals the theft in the Batcave, targeted specifically at Superman, raising suspicion among the League.

Back at the Watchtower, Atom and Firestorm are ambushed by Despero, who incapacitates them using the stolen Kryptonite ring and demands the whereabouts of the rest of the Justice League.

Despero easily overwhelms the secondary League members, but the group is rescued by Martian Manhunter, who places Despero into a temporary coma. At the same time, Superman manages to prevent the damaged Watchtower from crashing to Earth. Investigating Despero, the League discovers the stolen Kryptonite ring, confirming their fears about the severity of the security breach.

The Atom subsequently reports secretly to Amanda Waller of A.R.G.U.S., revealing that she has been monitoring and reporting the Justice League's actions, strategies, and weaknesses. The League remains unaware of this betrayal from within, setting the stage for further complications in their ranks.
