The Brave and the Bold, Part II is an episode of season 1 of Justice League. It premiered on March 17, 2002.

Synopsis for "The Brave and the Bold, Part II"

The Justice League are alerted to the apparent disappearance of Central City. J'onn, Hawkgirl, and Wonder Woman flies to the city's location via Javelin and finding nothing. However, the Javelin glance off something solid but invisible around the city. After landing, the Leaguers realize that there is a force-field enclosing the city - Central City is completely intact, but only hidden from the outside world. They are soon contacted by Batman and informed of an similar energy readings detected in Africa. They decide to rendezvous there to understand what they are dealing with. But as soon as they arrive, they are captured by Gorilla City's security force, who they believe the Leaguers are spies.

Flash, Green Lantern, and Solovar regain consciousness and discover that every citizen in Central City are under Grodd's mind-control. The three find Grodd in the middle of a massive rally. Upon seeing them, Grodd sics his puppets on them before making his leave with Dr. Corwin to make his next plan of destroying Gorilla City. Green Lantern, Flash, and Solovar escape the mob and follow Grodd and Dr. Corwin to a military base. There, Grodd launches four nuclear missiles at Gorilla City. Green Lantern flies after the missiles while Flash and Solovar deal with Grodd, who is able to overpower the latter but yet finding it difficult to fighting the Flash.

Back in Gorilla City, the Leaguers manages to escape from their prison, but find themselves trap by the city's shield. Just as they are cornered by the security force, the shield suddenly shuts down. Grodd had left a sabotage device behind, allowing the city to be expose and unprotected from the incoming missiles, which the gorillas are immediately alerted. The League offers to help gorillas much to their surprise. Green Lantern manage to disabling two of the missiles, and leaving the rest to be taken care by the League.

With the city saved, Grodd is enraged of his plans foiled and continues his attack on Flash. But Flash proposes a fair fight, and takes off his headband (despite Solovar's protests), inviting Grodd to take off his helmet. Grodd doesn't, but as he use his helmet he suddenly screams in pain and collapses. Flash reveals to an astonish Solovar that during their fight he had sabotaged the helmet and thereby causing an self-induced feedback which damaged Grodd's brain.

The League regroup in Gorilla City where they are gratefully thanked by the city's leaders. Grodd, who is in a brain-dead state, is now under Gorilla City's custody. But unknown to the League and Solovar, Grodd's vacant-look eyes narrows with hatred.
