Synopsis for "Local Hero"

The new teen superhero All-Star teams with Green Lantern John Stewart to stop some Qwardians. Stewart is impressed by her skill and recommends that she take his place in the Justice League as he has been temporarily called back to Oa by the Guardians.

She has an eventful week stopping menaces to Earth before she and the rest of the League discover that Brainiac has enslaved the entire Green Lantern Corps. In the battle to free them from his mind control, she briefly loses heart but is reminded of the sobering responsibility that Martian Manhunter told her Leaguers have. She reenters the battle and pushes the charm that powers her to the breaking point, shattering it.

On Earth, the League informs the world that she was a noble hero and Batman makes a personal visit to her home to give her the Justice League membership card they printed for her.
