• Although Metamorpho seemingly appears in this issue, it is actually just Eclipso posing as him using Starman's shape-shifting abilities.
• Guy Gardner was kicked from the Green Lantern Corps in Green Lantern (Volume 3) #25. However, since Hal Jordan was eclipsed in Green Lantern Annual #1, Guy was temporarily reinstated and given a Power Ring again.
  • This issue, as well as Green Lantern's Annual, take place in the middle of Guy Gardner Reborn #1.
