Synopsis for "The Parliaments of Life, Part 1"

In Los Angeles, Animal Man calls for the Justice League Dark help due to an attack from a fungi-possessed group of people that are infecting and spreading this mind-controlling mushroom phenomena everywhere. Both Baker and Doctor Fate agree that this is a reaction of the Parliaments of Life to the events bringing shock to all magic, especially Hecate's work and Diana using the Ruby of Life and the power of Mordru to rewrite all of magic itself. The five parliaments, which are The Green, The Red, The Grey, The Rot and The Divided, are at war against each other to survive, not able anymore to perform their functions in peace.

Khalid tells that the Lords of Order first brought the Parliaments of Life to be organized, with an ancient rite he must repeat to bring Order: they should find all the guardians of the different forces and bring them together to perform what must be done. Bobo and Diana are with Animal Man, who is the guardian of The Red, while Jason Woodrue, better known as the Floronic Man and new guardian of The Green, is imprisoned in the team's headquarters. Three still should be found, and one of them, the guardian of The Rot, is Abigail Arcane. Zatanna and Constantine should go find them, but John wants to strike a deal with Woodrue first: Zee tells him she had enough of his compromises and that they will leave the Floronic Man last. Constantine reluctantly accepts, but in reality finds a way to strike a deal with Woodrue nonetheless.

When both Zatanna and John left, Woodrue talks with a mysterious figure, a dark thing which wants revenge. He tells him to not trust John Constantine, and Woodrue, who appears scared, tells him he did not say anything about him and his role in what's happening.
