Synopsis for "The Dark Arises"
After Darkseid's Hypertime manipulation, Vic Stone is gone. He now is the New God of Code — at the right hand of Darkseid; and Darkseid is amused at the sight of the Justice League Odyssey's plans disintegrating around them.
Starfire is quick to strafe Darkseid with burning fire, and though he is staggered, he is glad to see that she is ready. As he planned, Darkseid throws Starfire into the cold firepit of Sepulkore while Cyborg initiates the cascade sequence, and Kory provides the spark that lights the station and changes her into another New God.
Events cascade quickly, and a Hypernetwork is established throughout the Ghost Sector; which forms an impenetrable barrier of antibaryonic matter - and detaches from the rest of the multiverse. Darkseid, restored to his full power, has his new Apokolips and all but Jessica Cruz praise him. "Darkseid is..."
Though her ring is out of power — and Darkseid knows it — the tyrant admires her courage and regrets not involving her in his manipulations. Defiant to the end, Jessica is thrown down, her ring hand is crushed under Darkseid's boot and she is destroyed by his Omega Beams, leaving nothing but charred bones...
