Synopsis for "Ghost Sector, Part 5"

On the Cyborg Planet of the Machine Worlds, the Justice League Odyssey is overrun by robots and finds itself separated from the newly deified Cyborg. Jessica Cruz constructs Green motorcycles and they temporarily evade the planet's defences. They race towards Cyborg, who is viewing The Programmer's Mother Box, which will convert everyone in the Ghost Sector to a uniformity of thought; to one order. Because without uniformity, the Ghost Sector will soon descend into war.

On Tamaran, Blackfire and Darkseid battle through troops engineered by the Coluans; designed to deny Darkseid the planet's secrets. Having extracted a promise from Darkseid to spare her Tamaran, Blackfire gives him access to the royal tombs, which are only unlocked by the genes in her royal blood.

Darkseid surveys the tomb, and tells Blackfire of a prophesy. His people had known that reality would end, and "the multiverse itself would shatter and die". The New Gods had created a contingency plan so that reality could be preserved, and the key was hidden in this tomb by Darkseid long ago. Sinking into the pool, Darkseid finds his objective - the Other Box - and uses it to Boom Tube out of Tamaran.

On the Machine Worlds, Jessica, Azrael, Rapture and Starfire burst through the wall to Cyborg's rescue, but he will not leave until he interfaces with the huge Mother Box and learns Darkseid's plan. As the Justice League Odyssey has disagreed with Cyborg, The Programmer calls upon his followers — who activate the Mother Box and form giant cyborgs — to attack the heretics. As his teammates defend themselves, Victor learns the truth - Darkseid lied, and his plan was to build a new Apokolips; a plan which the Justice League had enabled by freeing the worlds bottled by the Coluans. Before it's too late, Azrael pulls Cyborg from the Mother Box and they blast his followers, against the objections of Rapture.

Rapture turns on Azrael, and admits to killing Kory's followers at the Temple of Koriand'r, and takes his leave to rejoin the Order of Azrael. And the Order is now re-dedicated to the death of the Old Gods - the Goddess, the Machine and the Angel. Further, Rapture is revealed to be Kov Mal, who watched his love Topol travel to her death while seeking the assistance of the Guardians.
