Synopsis for "Legacy"
On Aeolon, Azrael sermonizes and the assembled troops fall silent and kneel. Rapture proclaims that his words are of the divine, while Blackfire exerts the last of her willpower to fly at Azrael.
Azrael calls for peace "above all things" and even Blackfire ceases her attack, though she still holds malice in her heart. Starfire approaches her sister in peace, but Blackfire knows that the Justice League has been manipulated by Darkseid, and teleports away.
Every other warrior assembled hears Azrael's voice, and sets out to defend the Ghost Sector from the forces of entropy and the Eskaton. They now understand that the Ghost Sector is not a trap — it is their salvation from a doomed multiverse.
On Epochrypha, Cyborg battles a growing mountain of node-covered insect beings left as a trap by Brainiac. Their mission, they repeat, is to "Prevent Sepulkore". Victor gets a location for the relic he needs and flies away, leaving rockets in his wake that destroy Brainiac's monstrosities.
As Cyborg laser-digs for the relic, he shields himself from the giant amalgamated insect that further monstrosities have become - while it announces, in Brainiac's cold voice, that the anti-matter bombs will detonate in ten seconds. Victor grabs the relic as the bomb detonates, destroying the temple and the surrounding area, but leaving Cyborg untouched. The relic has passed data to his Mother Box, making Cyborg even more powerful. Victor now understands clearly that his objective and Darkseid's are the same.
As a demonstration of his new power level, Cyborg opens a Boom Tube which the Skull Ship passes through, abruptly stopping. Cyborg, Starfire, and Azrael are now of one mind — they must find the remaining relics and complete Sepulkore. Only Jessica remains free of Darkseid's influence, and quietly asks her Ring if she could subdue Azrael, Cyborg and Starfire...
