After the JLTF's debut mission in Sanobel Island, Martian Manhunter has arranged for Gypsy to have permanent housing and operations with the new covert Justice League International branch.[1] Meanwhile, Lady Shiva hunts for Sa'ar and kills all devotees to this ageless sage. After a jog, Gypsy runs into a neighbor whose boyfriend has disappeared and she pieces together that several neighborhood residents have recently gone missing. She learns that several of her neighbors have taken an interest in Sa'ar's Temple of August Silence and she investigates with the Manhunter following her in disguise. It turns out that Sa'ar is kept ageless by enthralling his followers with psychic power and siphoning of energy from their souls.
