Justice League Unlimited is the successor to the Justice League in a the possible future of Batman Beyond. Its lineup included new incarnations of Aquagirl and Green Lantern, older versions of Big Barda and Superman, Micron, their equivariant of Atom, and Warhawk, the son of Hawkgirl. They occasionally worked alongside Terry McGinnis, the Batman of Neo-Gotham.

The name would be reused for an animated series, where the precursor Justice League expanded its roster following a thanagarian invasion. The Justice League of the main DC Universe continuity followed a similar path, rebranding themselves Justice League Unlimited following Absolute Power.

Justice League Unlimited was created by Alan Burnett, Paul Dini, Rich Fogel, and Hilary J. Bader, first appearing in the episode The Call, Part I of the Batman Beyond (2000).
