Justice League Unlimited. It premiered on September 11, 2004.
Synopsis for "The Greatest Story Never Told"
Booster Gold, the superhero from the future seeking fame and fortune while being a member of the Justice League, jumps at the chance of helping the team take down the evil wizard Mordru when he and his demonic hordes threaten Metropolis. However, instead of being selected for any front-line battle duties, Booster is chosen only for crowd control, which frustrates him to no end just as much as his being called Green Lantern by his grateful rescuers.
During the job, he finds himself in a laboratory where Dr. Simmons' colleague Dr. Brown is now the host of a quantum singularity that's swallowing up everything within its path. Dr. Simmons gives Booster a restraint collar to put on Dr. Brown to shut down the singularity, but Booster's attempts to do so are plagued with all sorts of problems, including having to come to Dr. Simmons' rescue at one point. With the singularity now reaching its threshold point where all of reality is on the verge of being consumed, Booster makes one last attempt, nearly being swallowed up by the singularity as he succeeds in putting the collar on Dr. Brown and rescuing his robotic partner Skeets who was swallowed up by the singularity.
As the rest of the Justice League succeed in taking down Mordru, Batman scolds Booster Gold for not taking care of crowd control, even though Booster tries to explain what happened to no avail. However, a grateful Dr. Simmons greets Booster Gold with an invitation to dinner, which he accepts.
