Synopsis for "Justice League Unlimited"

A new age of the Justice League had begun. From the first time in its history, the League had extended invitations to every hero that would like to join. One of the newest recruits, Air Wave, had teleported into the Watchtower, just in time for the Flash to give him the grand tour at super-speed. The new Watchtower contains briefing rooms for smaller teams like the Justice Society and the Super-Family and personal quarters for individual members. The Question is Head of Security, Ray Palmer and Ryan Choi are spearheading the Atom Project to locate missing superpowers after the battle with Amanda Waller and her Bureau of Sovereignty and Red Tornado's AI serves as mission control while his body undergoes reconstruction.

Before Flash can introduce his fellow Leaguers to Air Wave, however, an alarm goes off. Red Tornado informs the League that Balhauzer, South Africa, has been attacked by unidentified weapons of mass destruction and selects Superman, Wonder Woman, Star Sapphire, Black Lightning, Kid Flash and Firestorm to counter the threat. Air Wave insists on joining the mission, but Red Tornado replies that Air Wave's powers make him ill-equipped to join. Wonder Woman asks who is responsible for the attack and the only Red Tornado gets from his research is "Inferno".

When the League teleports into Balhauzer, they find it under siege by giant machines designated as "War Wheels". Red Tornado informs them that the village provides a steady supply of iridium, a mineral more valuable than gold, but Inferno seems more interested in causing destruction rather than actually securing the iridium. Superman uses his X-ray vision to discover that the War Wheels are unmanned drones, which means the League doesn't have to hold back. He joins Wonder Woman and Firestorm into combatting the War Wheels while Black Lighting, Star Sapphire and Kid Flash evacuate civilians.

Black Lightning and Star Sapphire find an injured man on the brink of death. Star Sapphire believes he should be taken to a hospital but Red Tornado informs her that there are no standing hospitals within a 40-mile radius. The dying man, Aadan Nkosi, calls out for his wife, Amahle, and Star Sapphire has an idea: she believes she can use Aadan's love for his wife to heal him, but for that, Amahle would need to be present. Luckily, Air Wave has his own idea: he connects to the Justice League's communication network and reaches Amahle's phone. This allows Kid Flash to locate Amahle and bring her to her husband. The plan works and Star Sapphire heals Aadan, but he will still need medical attention.

Meanwhile, Superman's team has already destroyed the War Wheels and the thing left in their wreckage is a small box with a message from Inferno. What happened in Balhauzer was but a taste of their rage and soon, the entire world will know about Inferno. Superman comments on Inferno's apparent foolishness in warning the Justice League about their plans, but Inferno doesn't care, for the Justice League won't be able to stop what happens next.

The team returns to the Watchtower and congratulates Air Wave on his quick-thinking. He goes to his room, removes his mask and cries. He can't believe how nice the Leaguers are to him, something that will be helpful in the long run, for he has infiltrated the League to destroy it from within.

Batman and Blue Beetle have been teleported to Monteverde, Costa Rica, to complete another mission. According to the local police, a mysterious creature with talons and wings has been kidnapping children and taking them to a nearby forest. Batman and Blue Beetle venture deep into the woods and find a nest filled with eggs. Worried about their chances, Batman requests backup.
