Justice League Unlimited (Volume 2) #5 is an issue of the series Justice League Unlimited (Volume 2) with a cover date of May, 2025. It was published on March 26, 2025.
Synopsis for the 1st Story
The Justice League is overseeing security at the G20 summit on Sydney, Australia. Such an event is a perfect target for Inferno, which is why Flash tells Impulse to stay focused. Suddenly, the world leaders and the heroes protected them are teleported into a dimension filled with monsters.
At the Watchtower, Mr. Terrific and Red Tornado are already assessing the situation. Terrific sends a distress call to Superman, but he is busy fighting Inferno's robot army in Japan. Zatanna and Blue Beetle are part of a team sent to China addressing a power emergency. Mr. Terrific says that Inferno had referred to the Justice League as an old enemy and the group that would fit that description most logically is the Legion of Doom, but some members are no longer active enemies to the League, like Lex Luthor and Sinestro, while others, like the Joker, have gone missing. Batman is cooperating with the Atoms to find the superpowers that went missing that the conflict with Amanda Waller, including Martian Manhunter's telepathy. Ray says that he got a signal on J'onn's telepathy but it disappeared at the exact same time the world leaders and the heroes sent to protect them went missing.
At the alternate dimension, the Justice League works hard to protect the world leaders while also attempting to find a way home. The League's task becomes harder when some of the delegates become desperate and start asserting dominance over each other. The heroes start gathering as many delegates as they can under a protective bubble constructed by Star Sapphire but Impulse sees one of the delegates behaving suspiciously. The delegate reveals himself to be a member of Inferno and possessing J'onn's telepathy, which he uses to make Impulse forget their confrontation.
Flash vibrates the dimension's molecular structure so he can teleport everyone into a different dimension. The plan works and everyone is teleported into the Phantom Zone, which does have an immediate exit, a portal connected to the Watchtower. Batman informs the League that the infiltrator is still among the delegates. The infiltrator is Gorilla Grodd and he escapes from the Watchtower with the help of his own double agent: Air Wave.
Grodd and Air Wave reunite with the rest of Inferno, composed of the members of the Legion of Doom. Now that the Justice League knows who they are, they no longer need to hide.

Notes
- The suits worn by the Legionnaires suggest that this incarnation of the Legion of Doom has been displaced from the past, foreshadowing the events of the We Are Yesterday storyline.
- The video recording of Lex Luthor saving a child is taken from Superman Vol 6 20, suggesting that the events of We Are Yesterday take place between Superman (Volume 6) #23 and Superman: Lex Luthor Special #1.
- This will be further implied in Batman/Superman: World's Finest #39.
- Although unnamed in the issue, the overall appearance of the first dimension— where the heroes and the G20 presidents are initially displaced— suggests that it is actually the Area of Madness.
- Similarly, the space-like realm — which is evidently part of the Godsphere, given that the Phantom Zone is described as an adjoining dimension— resembles the plane of existence where John Stewart is displaced during the second half of the Green Lantern: War Journal storyline.
